Ethically Clean and Morally Strong:"

I wrote "Rock and Roll" as a 'just-for-fun' song.

The following is a video of my newest song, "Reflections" (C) 2011:

This is a demo video of one of my newest songs, "Waiting For The Train:"
(AND you can see why Kathy tells me to wear a hat!) LOL

"LOST" is a song I wrote regarding a dad-daughter bond and the adjustment when she moves on:

"Don't Wanna Go Alone" By Ken Holloway is a favorite country-gospel so I decided to learn it:

I've always appreciated Curly Putnam's song, "Green, Green Grass of Home":

This is a demo video of "Shout For Joy" - From Psalm 100:

This is a great video with Dave Carrol based on an event that actually happened. It's great:

SongCast: Don Schink - "Clean Country," - Country and Country Gospel

ARTIST BIO FOR DON SCHINK – JANUARY 2012: Don Schink is a singer/songwriter/guitar player/Nashville recording artist. He has been in music since he was a teenager. He taught himself to play guitar due to his intense love for music. He has played in various bands from time to time throughout his musical career as opportunities arose. However, most of his performances have been solo, by his own choice, at local establishments as well as churches in various states where he pastored. Don prefers to write and perform country as well as country gospel music, with some ‘60s music thrown in from time to time.

Since taking an early retirement from the pastorate ministry, Don has devoted more time to developing his music career. This past year, Don has performed at the Grand Ole Opry as well as performing with Cowboy Troy and Friends at Nashville’s Hard Rock Café. He is a member of Nashville’s Songwriters Association International and the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.

Recently, Don was interviewed on KBQI, Albuquerque, New Mexico, on Tony Lynn and Myles morning show, where they discussed songwriting. He also and performed original songs for their listeners. He has performed regularly at Jo’s Chameleon Café for about 8 years and also plays at The Old Tyme Shop and Ice Cream Parlor, of Tijeras, NM, as well as occasional gigs in the greater Albuquerque area as opportunities permit.

In November, Don traveled back to Nashville at the invitation of Gene Breeden, who has performed with such country artists as Buck Owens, Merle Haggard and Tommy Overstreet, to record an album. This was done at Gene Breeden Studios with Don being accompanied by musicians who frequently perform with many of Nashville’s popular artists. The CD, entitled “Clean Country” has just been released and is now on sale through several Internet sites, local establishments and from the artist, himself. It consists of ten of Don’s original compositions, which he decided to release due to fan requests. His song, “Reflections,” will be released for airplay in February and can already be heard over Internet radio stations.

Don has recently been offered recording contracts from three record companies and is currently studying the contracts to ascertain which offer seems most suitable. He is committed to performing country, as well as gospel music, that is clean, uplifting and wholesome for all to enjoy.

Bookings are currently being accepted for his 2012 tour. Also plans are underway for Don’s second CD, to be called “Keeping It Clean in the Country,” to be recorded at Gene Breeden’s Nashville studio in mid to late spring.

Don can be contacted by emailing him at don@donschink.com or calling him at 505-554-0486. His web site is http://donschink.com/music.

Also, Don has been offered a recording contract from three different companies! He is studying the details of them now and what all is involved. Please join him in prayer that he makes the right decision.
